This spacesuit was made for and worn by astronaut  John Young Commander for the Apollo 16 mission in April 1972. While astronauts Charlie Duke, and Ken Mattingly were on the lunar surface.


Transferred to the National Air and Space Museum from NASA - Johnson Space Center in 1973.
