This is an inline fuel filter from a V2 rocket. Recovered from the Peenemünde test site, this is a rare relic of the world's first large liquid-fuelled missile. It is stamped with an eagle and swastika device. |

Goddard Historical Essay Award at the dinner, presented by Dr. Wernher von Braun, for his essay "Development of the Lifesaving Rocket". An important award that has not been publicized all that much. |
