DIRETTORE DI VOLO PER UN GIORNO

Ho avuto il privilegio di essere ospitato dal Direttore del Johnson Space Center: Michael Coats (Ex Astronauta Shuttle STS-41-D; STS-29; STS-39), che mi ha offerto opportunità straordinarie, praticamente tutte le porte si sono aperte alla vista del pass...                     DIRECTOR'S GUEST

Una sensazione pazzesca! Girare liberamente negli immensi capannoni. Mi aspettato di tutto, ma di entrare nella Mission Control Room della ISS durante la missione... questo no!

Se non bastasse mi hanno fatto accomodare vicino al Direttore di Volo, ovviamente raccomandandosi di non deviare l'orbita della Stazione Spaziale Internazionale...

Un ringraziamento particolare va agli amici: Rosemary Roosa, Francisco Gonzales e Giovanni Colombo.

JSC2011-E-218795 (23 Dec. 2011) --- Flight Director Mike Lammers, at his console in the space station flight control room of JSC's Mission Control Center, monitors activity aboard the International Space Station soon after two three-person components of the Expedition 30 crew reunited. Soyuz TMA-3M had just delivered Flight Engineers Oleg Kononenko, Andre Kuipers and Don Pettit to the station. Already onboard were Expedition 30 Commander Dan Burbank and Flight Engineers Anton Shkaplerov and Anatoly Ivanishin. The six can be seen on a screen in the front of the FCR as they communicate with flight controllers.
